2026 7th International Conference on Computer Vision and Data Mining(ICCVDM 2026) concluded successfully in London

On August 15, 2026, the 7th International Conference on Computer Vision and Data Mining (ICCVDM 2026) successfully concluded in London, UK. Hosted by Brunel University of London, the conference brought together experts, scholars, and researchers from around the world for a day-long intensive exchange and discussion on cutting-edge technologies and applications in the fields of computer vision and data mining.

At the opening ceremony, chaired by Professor Meng Hongying from Brunel University London, Professor Li Maozhen delivered a welcoming address. On behalf of the organizers, Professor Li extended a warm welcome to the participants who had traveled from afar and expressed his hope that the exchanges at this conference would help advance and develop related technologies.

The keynote session in the morning set a solid academic tone for the conference. Three experts from UK universities shared their latest research findings. Professor Zhou Huiyu from the University of Leicester delivered a presentation titled "Image Completion with Context-Adaptive Diffusion," delving into cutting-edge techniques for image restoration using context-adaptive diffusion models. Professor Yu Keming from Brunel University London presented a talk entitled "Extremile Regression Analysis of Unlabeled Data via Semi-Supervised Learning," offering profound insights into semi-supervised learning and the analysis of unlabeled data. Dr. Ziman from the University of Canterbury in the UK, meanwhile, explored the potential applications of intelligent computing in digital forensics under the title "AI and Digital Forensics."

The afternoon agenda kicked off with a roundtable forum on "AI Applications," moderated by Professor Meng Hongying. The forum sparked a lively discussion centered on the practical applications of artificial intelligence, setting a rich and thought-provoking tone for the subsequent technical presentations. In the following oral presentations and poster sessions, scholars from numerous universities and research institutions around the globe—including Northwestern Polytechnical University, Victoria University (Canada), Brunel University, and National Institute of Technology Srinagar (India)—shared their latest research advances in various specialized fields such as improvements to the YOLO series of networks, point cloud registration, federated learning, underwater species monitoring, and PCB defect detection. The presentations were well-grounded, and the ensuing discussions featured frequent and engaging interactions, fully reflecting the conference's international character and emphasis on academic exchange.

The conference concluded successfully with a closing ceremony and award presentation.
