IDST 2025 - The International Conference on Intelligent Driving and Smart Transportation

The 2025 International Conference on Intelligent Driving and Smart Transportation (IDST 2025) concluded successfully on November 25, 2025 in Milan, marking a significant milestone in advancing the field of intelligent driving and smart transportation.

The conference was officially opened by Professor Marzio Barresi from Politecnico di Milano, who delivered the opening remarks. In his address, he extended heartfelt thanks to the Conference Chairs—Professor Francesco Benedetto of Roma Tre University, Professor Xiangjie Kong of Zhejiang University of Technology—for their exemplary leadership in guiding this global event, the participating experts, and all attendees for their valuable contributions and support.

The conference program was further enriched by a diverse range of oral presentations and dynamic discussions, with participants from a broad array of countries and regions—including France, Türkiye, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Mainland China—bringing together diverse perspectives that formed a vital foundation for the event's success.

The topics addressed encompassed key aspects of intelligent driving and smart transportation, including autonomous vehicle safety testing and behavior modeling, AI-driven traffic sign detection for connected and automated vehicles in rural environments, advanced traffic signal control strategies, and the generalization of lane detection across varied driving conditions.

Other presentations focused on innovative electric mobility technologies such as wireless charging systems, adaptive cruise control, and optimal scheduling for electric vehicle fleets integrated with renewable energy sources. Critical analyses of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, cyberattack impacts on power grid stability, and safety assessments of emerging technologies were also featured. This comprehensive breadth of research set new standards for practice and advancement in the field.
