The 6th International Conference on Education, Knowledge and Information Management (ICEKIM 2025) successfully concluded on Saturday, 21st June 2025, after two days of insightful discussions, keynote speeches, and academic presentations. Held in Room Sci 105 and Lab 109 (with virtual participation via Zoom: ID 841 1338 4917, Password 260620), the conference brought together scholars, researchers, and experts from around the world to explore critical topics at the intersection of education, knowledge management, and information technology, with a special focus on sustainability, net-zero goals, and digital innovation.
Highlights of Key Sessions
Day 1 (20th June 2025)–Plenary & Roundtable Discussions (Room: Sci 105)
Opening & Plenary Talks: The conference kicked off with opening remarks by Dr. Asma Rezaei (Anglia Ruskin University).
Distinguished speakers delivered impactful plenary talks, including:
- Professor Ali R. Kamali (Northeastern University) on "Li-ion Battery Supply Chains and the Recycling Imperative".
- Professor Michael Pollitt (University of Cambridge) on "European Policies for Net Zero: The Narrow Path to Success".
Roundtable Discussion: A focused roundtable titled "Towards Net Zero–Resources, Supply Chains, Circular Economy & Employability" was chaired by Professor Ali R. Kamali, featuring panelists such as Professor Sian Moore (ARU), Professor Minna Lammi (ARU), Ingo Wender (Advanced Potash Technologies, Brazil), and Professor Michael Pollitt.
Day 2 (21st June 2025)–Keynotes & Presentations
Keynotes: The second day opened with remarks by Dr. Gregory Allen (ARU), followed by keynote speeches on diverse themes:

- Professor Minna Lammi(ARU) on”Why Is the Circular Economy Still Stuck”
- Professor Qing Li (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University) on "Smart Data for Knowledge Management and Education"
- Professor Manoj Dora(ARU)on”Pathway to a Robust Food Supply Chain in a VUCA World”
- Dr. Agnieszka Topolska(Emerald Publishing) on“Publishing for Impact: Navigating Emerald Publishing”
Invited talks: Professor Nigel Adams(University of Buckingham) onThe Buckingham Sustainable Innovation and Enterprise Unit
- Dr.Tabish Zaman(ARU) on“Digital Disruption as Wealth Extraction: Rethinking Entrepreneurship’s Purpose in the Age of AI”
- Dr. Asma Rezaei(ARU) on“University-Industry Collaboration: A Gendered Perspective on Innovation in Silicon Fen”
Oral Presentations: Over 20 oral presentations were delivered in Lab 109 and Lab 107, covering topics such as AI in education, circular economy, supply chain management, and digital transformation. Highlights included:
- "Digital Leadership in the Digital Transformation of Enterprises" by Yueran Zheng (ARU).
- "AI Ethics Education and Evaluation Framework" by Tengfei Shao (Waseda University).
- "Investment Strategies for Winery Acquisitions" by James Davis (ARU).
Closing Ceremony: The conference concluded with closing remarks and a "Best Presentation Award Ceremony" to recognize outstanding academic contributions.
