About MDS 2026

 2026 6th International Conference on Mechanical Design and Simulation (MDS 2026) will be held from March 20 to March 22, 2026, in Debrecen, Hungary, hosted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Faculty of Engineering, University of Debrecen).

This conference will focus on cutting-edge research in Mechanical Design and Simulation. It aims to provide a platform for experts, scholars, engineers, and technical professionals engaged in these fields to share scientific research results and innovative technologies, discuss academic development trends, broaden research perspectives, and promote the industrialization of academic achievements. Additionally, MDS 2026 offers an excellent opportunity for participants to expand their professional networks and establish international collaborations.

Publication and Submission

All papers, both invited and contributed, will be reviewed by two or three experts from the committees. After a careful reviewing process, all accepted papers of MDS 2026 will be submitted to the internationally renowned publishing house Springer's Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering (ISSN: 2195-4356) for publication  and EI Compendex and Scopus for indexing.

Paper Submission: 

• The paper should have academic or practical value, and has not been published in academic journals or conferences at home and abroad.
• The author who publishes the paper needs to submit the full text for peer review, and the author who only reports and does not publish the paper only needs to submit the title and abstract of the article.
• Authors can check duplicates through CrossCheck, iThenticate or other query systems at their own expense, otherwise the rejected manuscripts caused by the repetition rate of the article will be the author 's own responsibility. 
• The paper should not be less than 6 pages. 
• The paper must be formatted according to the conference template. Download the paper template (click to jump): Paper Template.
• The conference only accepts English manuscripts. 
• For personal reasons, a fee of at least 30 % is required to withdraw the manuscript without reason. 
• The conference is submitted online, please send the full paper(word+pdf) to Submission System.

Participation

1. Author Participation: one accepted article can have one author attend the conference for free, other authors can register separately.

2. Keynote Speaker: apply for a keynote speech, which will be reviewed by the organizing committee.

3. Oral Presentation: apply for an oral presentation, 10-15 minutes in duration.

4. Poster Display: apply for poster display, A1 size.

5. Audience participation: no submission only participation, can also apply for speech and poster display.

1. At least one author for each accepted final paper must pre-register.

2. The registration fee does not include: ① Accommodation ② Visa application fee ③ Transportation fare.

3. And at least 30% of the registration fee will be charged as the service fee if you retract your paper for personal reasons.

 

Refunds Policy

If the participants request cancellation and refund due to personal reasons, the following refund policy applies.

* 60 days ahead of the conference: 70% of payment refund

* 30-60 days ahead of the conference: 50% of payment refund

* Within 30 days ahead of the conference: 30% of payment refund

* After conference: no refund

Cancellation and refund request must be made formally by email.

The organizing committees reserves the right to change the dates and place of the conference due to force majeure. Losses thus incurred from the force majeure events shall not be liabled and refunds policy shall not apply as well.

Early Application Recommended:

Required Documents: It is the responsibility of attendees to obtain a valid visa prior to arrival. Please consult your local embassy for the specific documents needed, which may include:

Invitation Letter

Purpose: The invitation letter of MDS 2026 committee serves as proof that your paper submission and registration application have been accepted by the conference committee. This letter is written in English and may support your visa application. 
However, receiving an invitation letter does not guarantee you will be granted a visa.

-Issuance Process: 
Invitation letters will only be issued once your registration and payment are completed. The invitation letter will be sent to you via e-mail.
-How to Request: 
When your registration and payment are confirmed, you may request an invitation letter through [registration system/email]. Please provide:
1. Your full name (as shown on your passport)

5. Paper title (if applicable):

Limitations: 
Should your visa application be denied, the Organizing Committee cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), nor will we engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or embassy/consulate on behalf of the applicant. The invitation letter does not imply any financial support or guarantee for your accommodation or travel.
