Conference Introduction

The 7th International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence for Medical Sciences (ISAIMS 2026) will be held in Shanghai, China, from October 23 to 25, 2026. Since its founding in 2020, ISAIMS has successfully held six editions, attracting over one thousand experts, scholars and industry professionals worldwide in the field of medical artificial intelligence. With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and its broad deployment in medical fields, medical AI has become a critical driving force for breakthroughs in precision diagnosis and treatment, intelligent medical devices, medical image analysis, bioinformatics and many other cutting‑edge directions.

This symposium will continue to focus on the latest research progress and innovative applications of medical artificial intelligence, building a high‑level academic exchange and cooperation platform among universities, research institutes and enterprises at home and abroad. It offers opportunities for professors, researchers and engineers to share professional experience and present scientific research outcomes. It also promotes interdisciplinary collaboration to address key technical challenges and future development trends within medical artificial intelligence. Through in‑depth exchange and cooperation, it facilitates the translation of theoretical research and technological innovation into practical applications in clinical diagnosis, disease prediction and personalized medicine, accelerates the implementation of medical‑AI technologies in the health‑care industry, and helps build a new ecosystem for smart healthcare.

Ph.D. from University of Hamburg, Germany. Second‑level long‑term tenure professor and doctoral supervisor. Director of the Institute of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Person‑in‑Charge for the national key discipline “Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems”. He has presided over more than thirty national and provincial research projects focusing on image processing, pattern recognition, data mining and artificial intelligence. He has published six academic monographs and over five hundred papers in international and domestic journals and conferences. His Google Scholar citation count is nearly 30000 with an H‑index of 89.

Prof. Dong Liang | Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Ph.D. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Research Fellow. Former Director of Institute of Biomedical and Health Engineering and Member of Institute Council at SIAT. Current Vice‑Director of SIAT, Director of Medical Artificial Intelligence Research Center, Deputy Director of National Key Laboratory of Medical Imaging Science and Technology Systems, and Director of Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Multi‑modal Non‑invasive Brain‑Computer Interface Theory and Technology. His research focuses on AI‑empowered magnetic resonance imaging technologies and systems. He serves as Deputy Secretary‑General of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering and member of the 2nd Guangdong Provincial Strategic Advisory Expert Committee for New‑Generation Artificial Intelligence. He is a recipient of multiple awards including the First‑Class National Science and Technology Progress Award.

Prof. Yuanjie Zheng | Liaocheng University

Doctor of Engineering, second‑level professor, doctoral supervisor, Taishan Scholar, President of Liaocheng University, Vice‑Chairman of Shandong Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Vice‑Chairman of Shandong Computer Federation. His research interests cover artificial intelligence, computer vision and medical image analysis. He has published more than one hundred papers in top journals such as IEEE TPAMI and well‑known international conferences including CVPR. As the first corresponding author, he has won the First‑Class and Second‑Class Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards. He has also received honors such as Outstanding Science and Technology Worker of Shandong Province.

Publication Information

1. Conference Paper Submission

All submissions will undergo peer review by 2‑3 committee experts. After strict review, all accepted papers will be published by ACM ICPS. Upon publication, papers will be submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus and other databases for indexing.

Submission Instructions:

  • The single‑column manuscript shall be no less than 8 pages.
  • Papers shall be formatted strictly according to the conference template. Template Download: Download.
  • Manuscripts shall possess academic or practical value and must not have been previously published in domestic or international journals or conferences. Authors may conduct self‑plagiarism checks via CrossCheck, iThenticate or other systems (references included). Authors shall bear all responsibilities for desk‑rejection caused by a similarity rate ≥25. Plagiarized submissions will be rejected for publication and announced on the conference homepage.
  • Submit full manuscripts (abstract‑only submissions are not accepted). Manuscripts must contain no fewer than 8 pages.
  • References shall include at least three foreign‑language sources.
  • More than half of references should be publications within the most recent 3‑5 years.
  • All submissions will undergo reference authenticity detection. Please ensure all references have verifiable DOIs or corresponding links.
  • If authors withdraw accepted papers for personal reasons after payment, a service fee equal to 30 % of the page charge will be deducted.
